The Bamileke king of Cameroon sits on this stool during public pomps. This is the only time the stool is utilized and only by the king. The rosette design constitutes the 'earth spider', 'heteroscodra crassipes'.
These tables are natural and hand crafted. As wood contracts and enlarges with moisture in the air, cracking could happen in the wood. Fine cracks in the paintwork could be painted over and charged if necessary.
Bamileke Tables are really a very unique product with sequences taking up to a year to fix by our suppliers from their original counterparts in Cameroon, especially for the larger ones.
