Cherry wood is denser than most wood types and thus 'heavier as well'. With each cubic foot of the wood weighing around thirty‐five pounds, a cherry wood coffee table is sturdy enough to remain upright even when bumped into.
The 'cherry wood' used for most tables sold in the United States is derived from 'cherry trees grown' in the mountains of Appalachia and the Alleghany Mountains of West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
A SOUND INVESTMENT
